Mr. Tate

Coleman Bryant Tate, 78, of 831 Cartersville Highway, died Friday, Sept. 30, in a Rome hospital.

Born July 8, 1905, in Bartow County, Mr. Tate was the son of the late Clemons P. and Maggie Owens Tate.  He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Madden Tate, of Rockmart; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Spinks of Rockmart and Mrs. Diane Worthington of Kingston; one brother, A.C. (Red) Tate of Rockmart; one sister, Miss Irene Tate of Rockmart.

Five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
