Mrs. Rena (D.S.) Tate, 85, of Canton, died November 29, 1988, following a lengthly illness.

She is survived by a son, D.S. Tate Jr., Marietta; six daughters, Mrs. Jean Sutton and Miss Louise Tate, both of Canton; Mrs. Dorothy (John A.) Glawson of Cartersville, Mrs. Betty Hamola, Albany; Mrs. Martha Martin, Cumming and Mrs. Shirley Owens, Woodstock; three brothers, Jimmy Moore and Wendell Moore, both of Cartersville, and Alfred Moore, Kingston; five sisters, Mrs. Vonnie Perry of Virginia; Mrs. Viola Waldrop of Conley; Mrs. Patsy Vernon of Austell; Mrs. Carney Moore of Rockmart; and Mrs. Hettie Mae Vernon of Canton; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held December 1 at 11:30 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church off the Cartersville-Rome Highway, with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Sosebee Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
