Mr. James David Thomas, 51, of 255 Old Highway 41, Adairsville, died Thursday morning [February 24, 2000] in Adairsville following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Stoner Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Lanier Abernathy officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home.  At other hours, they will be at the residence of a sister, Martha Turner, 544 Fieldwood Drive, Adairsville.
