Herschel M. Tidwell, Route 4, Cartersville, died early Friday morning after an illness of several months.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Mack Matthews and Mrs. Catherine Jones; four sons, James (Buddy), Richard, C.L. and Jackie Tidwell, all of Cartersville; six grand-children, one great-grandchild; two brothers, Johnnie and Ernest Tidwell, and a sister, Mrs. Susie House, all of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday from the Raccoon Baptist Church with Revs Dane and Ed Black officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
