Jasper Izar Tidwell Sr., 69, of 28 Tidwell Road, Cartersville, died Sunday, March 7, 1999.

Mr. Tidwell was born July 27, 1929 in Bartow County a son of the late Charlie and Mary Parker Tidwell, was of the Baptist faith, member of Woodmen of World, active member of the United Game Breeders Association, and retired driver for Complete Auto Transit.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy N. Tidwell, his children, Jasper Tidwell Jr., Franklin Ira Tidwell, Julia Louisa Gober, grandchildren, Jack Daniel Tidwell, Brandon Lee Tidwell, Andrew, Nicole, and Chelsea Tidwell, Sharie, Landon and Dalen Gober, sisters, Cliffie Owens, Ann Hinton, Ella Sansom, Frances Tidwell, Mamie Worley, Reba Cordell, one brother, Gordon Tidwell, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 from the Owen Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Bone officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
