Roy Lewis Tidwell, 65, of Jones Mill Road, Cartersville, passed away Friday evening, March 23, 2007, in Atlanta. Mr. Tidwell was born October 14, 1941, in Bartow County, son of Mattie House Tidwell and the late Raymond Tidwell. He was a self-employed brick mason, was a member of the Center Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Marion Brooks Tidwell; children , Chris and Caron Tidwell and Tracy Pose; grandchildren, Logan Tidwell, Noah Tidwell, Jessica Story, Drew Posey, Hunter Worley and Tori Worley; brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Geraldine Tidwell; his mother Mattie Beavers; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 26 at 22 a.m. at Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Dewey Atchley and the Rev. Sammy Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Old Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael McDaniel, Ricky Bryant, Bobby Winters, James Hobgood, Joe McPherson and Autrell Taylor. Honorary pallbearers include Slick Tatum and Dennis Farmer. |
