Death of Capt. Tilton.

It was with the most profound sorrow that Dalton learned of the death, Wednesday, of Capt. W. C. Tilton, at his home at Hopedale, near Spring Place. Capt. Tilton had been very sick for some time, and his death was not unexpected. He was buried Thursday in the Spring Place burying ground, Rev. M. D. Smith, of Dalton, performing the last sad rites. The Argus extends deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and friends. Our entire section mourns the death of this clever, popular gentleman. –Dalton Argus.

Capt. Tilton was an uncle of Mrs. C. B. Willingham and Miss Julia Williams, formerly of this city.
