Resolutions of Sympathy.

We, the undersigned, a committee appointed by the superintendent of the Adairsville Methodist Sunday School to draw up resolutions on the death of Claud J. Tomlinson, age about seven years, son of T. F. and Tallulah Tomlinson, do resolve:

In the providence of God we are called upon to mourn the loss from our midst of one of the sunniest, happiest faces, therefore be it resolved:

First, that in the death of little Claud Tomlinson we recognize the hand of an Allwise Providence, to whose dispensation we humbly bow as that of the One who always doeth well.

Second, that in his death this school has lost one of its most regular and best scholars.  He was his teacher’s pride and his fellow students’ favorite.

Third.  That we tender to the bereaved and heart-stricken parents of little Claud our heart-felt sympathy, and pray the good and kind Heavenly Father to comfort them in this their trial.

Fourth, that these resolutions be entered in the records of the Sunday school, and that we request the Cartersville papers to publish them,

Miss Mary E. Bibb
Miss Mamie Cokeroft
