“Bartow County-Adairsville.”

Died, at his home near her, Tuesday morning, May 15 th, Mr. A. C. Trimble.

His death, though sudden, was not unexpected as he had not been at all well since the death of his beloved daughter, Mrs. LeConte, who preceded her father to the better land but eleven days. Father and daughter have met to part no more.

Mr. Trimble was one of our oldest and best citizens. He had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. He leaves a wife, two daughters, a son, and a number of grandchildren, but in his death not only his family but the community at large have lost a friend, for he was always ready to greet all with a pleasant word, from the tiny tot to the oldest.

In him we have lost a friend and our heart is sad, and if a friend can feel the loss what must be the grief of the home circle. He has gone to receive his reward and today is mingling around God’s throne with the redeemed. Let us live so, like he, that when the summons comes we, too, may pass over the river and greet those gone before and be at rest.
