Death of Dr. Upson.

Dr. J. D. Upson died in this city last Wednesday evening, and was buried at Euharlee on Thursday. He had been in poor health for some time but was confined to his bed only about two weeks.

His suffering was very great, and it was thought for many days before his death that he could not recover. He leaves a wife and two little children. Dr. Upson was a quiet, genial and pleasant gentleman and had many friends in Cartersville. He expressed himself as being willing to die, and prepared to meet his Maker.

Mrs. Upson and her children will live with her brother, Mr. Morgan Rogers, near Euharlee, Ga. The sympathy of our community is with her in this, the saddest bereavement of her life.
