Obituary.

Died at her home, Tallapoosa Mines, Haralson county, Ga., 31st of May, Mrs. Sarah A. Waldrop, of Cancer, after a severe and painful illness of nearly 14 months.  Age 62 years 1 month and 8 days.

She was for thirty years a strict and orderly member of the Primitive Baptist Church, during which long period, and through her protracted suffering all those beautiful Christian virtues that so often characterize woman and of which she possessed in such rare abundance was beautifully manifest.  In her church and social relations not a fault is to be found, but like a true Primitive Christian she was ever ready, with willing hands to help the poor and needy.  In the death of Mrs. Waldrop, society has lost an important member, her church one of her brightest ornaments, her children (five sons and four daughters, all of whom were present in her last moments) a most affectionate and tender mother, and her husband, Mr. T. G. Waldrop, a most devoted wife.  J. P. H.
