Death of James Whitehead.

Mr. James Whitehead died in the Grady Hospital, in Atlanta, last Thursday and his remains were brought to this city and interred in Oak Hill cemetery on Saturday.

The deceased was well known here, having lived here up to the last year or two. He was a son of Mr. Sim Whitehead and brother of Mrs. Shelby Attaway, Miss Eula and Mr. Charlie Whitehead. He was about 23 years of age. He was a good hearted young man and among all his old associates he was well liked.

Some time last spring young Whitehead, while doing work as brakeman in the Western and Atlantic railroad yards, got a fall from a freight car in which his back was broken and he was otherwise injured. These injuries finally caused his death.
