Death of Mrs. R. J. Williams.

The people of this city were shocked last Monday by the intelligence of the death of Mrs. R. J. Williams, formerly Miss Kate Gilbert, which occurred at Ragland, Ala., that morning.

Mrs. Williams had been ill only a short while and her death was entirely unexpected. Her remains were brought to this city last Tuesday evening and yesterday, after the burial ceremony conducted by Rev. James S. Hillhouse, were interred in Oak Hill cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Williams was a peculiarly sad one. She had only been married about five months. She was a consistent Christian lady, being a member of the Presbyterian church. The Courant American extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
