Died, in this place, on the 5th inst., after an illness of two weeks, JOHN C. WILSON, only child of Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson, aged one year, nine months and 24 days.

Little Johnny is taken away from this earth
To dwell with the Saviour on high;
He is gone from the place of his birth,
To wrestle with God in the sky.

His fair little face while in health,
Was beaming with raptures of love;
He was loved by his parents and friends,
But now he’s a bright angel above.

Oh! Parents, be resigned to His will;
He will do what seemeth good unto him;
But strive with the Saviour to dwell.
For you’ll meet little Johnny again.

Too pure for this earth, little Johnny is gone
To live in bright regions of love;
To sing Hallelujah to God and the Lamb,
And praise with the angels above.
E. B.
