Death of W. A. Wood

Mr. W. A. Wood died at his home in this city, on Friday night last. He had been suffering for a number of months from dropsy, which finally reached his heart and at once proved fatal. Mr. Wood came to this city several years ago from Canton, where he had been running a store. He was known as a quiet and unobtrusive citizen. He ran a boarding house and for awhile a small store. He was about fifty years old. His remains were carried to the country for interment.
