Mr. Harley Young, age 72, of 461 Bells Ferry Road in White, died on Wednesday, September 24, 1997 at his home.

He was born on September 06, 1925 in Bartow County, son of Mamie Coggins Young and the late Charles A. Young.  Mr. Young was of the Baptist faith.  He grew up in the Stamp Creek/White community.  He was preceded in death by his father in March, 1972 and by one brother, Fred Young, in January 1997.

Survivors include his mother, Mamie Coggins Young of White; one sister, Bonnie Taylor of Rydal; seven brothers, Homer and Harvey Young, both of Rydal, Gene, Roy and Earl Dean Young, all of White and the Rev. Frank and Rob Young, both of Cartersville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 26, 1997 in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Holmes officiating.  Interment will be in the Stamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Kenneth Taylor, Jimmy, Darrell, Jamie Lamar and Ricky Young.
