Good Lady Dies.
Mrs. Nancy Young Passes Away After Six Months Illness.

Mrs. Nancy Young, wife of Mr. John R. Young, died last Friday August 27th, after an illness of six months.  Mrs. Young suffered a stroke of paralysis about a year ago from which she lost her speech and was almost entirely helpless for the past six months.

Mrs. Young was born in Barrow County, Ky., November 27th, 1837.  Besides her husband, she is survived by two children Mr. Robert E. Young, of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Miss Daisy Young, of this city.

Her son Robert E. Young visited his mother last week and had just returned to his Indiana home a day before his mother died.

Mrs. Young joined the Baptist church when she was a little girl and ever after lived a devoted Christian life and was a good wife and a devoted mother to her family.

Mrs. Young’s daughter stayed constantly by her mother’s bedside day after day and night after night and administered to her mother’s every want as none but a devoted Christian daughter could do.  Her mother was very fond of her daughter and Miss Young proved how well she loved her mother by giving up all her worldly pleasures and associations to care for her dear mother in her affliction.  Her mother was her confidential friend and they shared their troubles and pleasures with each other and at all times advised with each other and while they are temporarily parted as companions, she has the blessed hope that they will meet again in the home beyond the grave.

The funeral services were conducted from the residence of the husband, Mr. John R. Young, Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock and interment took place at Oak Hill cemetery.
