Father’s Death Follows Closely Young Daughter
Home of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Young Visited by Death Angel TwiceWithin Week’s Time

Mr. William F. Young, 48 years old, succumbed last Monday to an attack of pneumonia, closely following the death of his five-year-old daughter, who died a victim of the same malady only a week before.

Funeral services for Mr. Young were held on Tuesday at Stamp Creek Church, interment following in the cemetery there.  Rev. Mr. Sheffield preached the funeral sermon before a large gathering of friends present to sympathize with the bereaved family.

Surviving are the widow and the following children: Thelma, Lucille, John Willie, Homer, Virginia and Houston Young.

No family has suffered more during the past few weeks than has this one.  Four members of it have been attacked by pneumonia and two were unable to withstand its ravages.  It is thought the others are out of danger and on the road to recovery, which announcement will come as good news to the people of the community who have shared with their immediate relatives many anxious moments over their condition.

[NOTES: His wife is Mattie Lusk.  His parents were Isaac Young and Lucretia “Creacy/Lula” Abernathy.]
