“Cupid’s Doings.”—A number of marriages among the holiday events.

Preston C. Griffin and Sallie Irene Owens “last Thursday” at Ford, Ga., home of Mr. Dean Owens. List of gifts received.

Married in Dalton by the Rev. Mr. Craighill on the afternoon of the 28 th, at the residence of the bride’s father, Miss Jennie Louise Thomas to James Cothran Milam—several paragraph notice.

Will T. Stephens to Miss Eula F. Blalock on December 21 st at the home of the bride’s mother.

Capt. W. B. Stalnaker to Miss Mary Sofge on December 20 at the home of Col. J. W. Harris. Capt. Stalnaker was Civil engineer and Mary Sofge was teacher of music at West End Institute.

Married, on the 26 th of December at the residence of the bride’s mother, in this county, Miss Mary Smith to Mr. Jack Taff. Rev. A. J. Bufford officiating.
