Marriage At Stilesboro.

Rev. J. J. Bennett and Miss Mary Conyers Happily United.

Rev. Joseph Johnson Bennett and Miss Mary Elizabeth Conyers were joined in the holy bonds of wedlock at Raccoon church, near Stilesboro, yesterday at nine o’clock, Rev. W. S. McCarty, of Monroe, Ga., officiating.

The attendants were Rev. L. E. Roberts and Miss Lizzie Conyers, Mr. E. H. Holland and Miss Susie Cunyus, Mr. A. C. Skannall and Miss Mary Brandon, Mr. C. B. Conyers and Miss Jessie Bennett.

The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and when the bridal party arrived the church was well filled with relatives and friends of the popular young couple.

After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Bennett were driven over to Stilesboro, accompanied by a number of friends, where they took the train for Albany, Ga., the home of the groom.

On Tuesday evening an elegant reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joel T. Conyers, and a large number of invited guests assembled to tender their congratulations and enjoy the hospitality of this delightful home.

Miss Mary Conyers is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel T. Conyers, and is one of the brightest and most popular young ladies of the county. Possessing every womanly charm, she is a fit companion for the man with whom she has plighted her vows and joined her life.

Rev. J. J. Bennett was formerly pastor of the Baptist church of Stilesboro, but was called to the church at Albany, Ga., some time since, and now makes that place his home.
