“Kingston Items.”

Our young friend, Mr. Thomas H. Cobb was married on the morning of the 17th inst., to Miss Mattie Lou Magruda, of Tuskegee, Ala. WE had been thinking Mr. Cobb looked remarkably happy for some time and when he left for Tuskegee Tuesday morning of course his happiness was accounted for. He returned Wednesday afternoon with his bride, and we all imagine that he was as “happy as a big sunflower” and to judge from his looks he was indeed so. They received a great many beautiful presents from a host of friends and relatives. The young couple enter into their wedded life amid warm congratulations of a multitude of friends. May life’s choicest blessings crowd about their way; may no rough winds toss their life barks as side by side they drift down the stream together, and,

“Be half in shade and half in sun,

This earth along its course advances,

May that side the sun’s upon

Be all that ever meet their glances.”
