On the 27th July at high noon one of the grandest social events took place at Annandale the magnificent residence of Col. G. H. Waring that was ever witnessed in this community. The marriage of Mr. Wm. M. Crump of Memphis, Tenn., and Miss Nell Howard Waring, the second daughter of Col. and Mrs. G. H. Waring, Bishop Nelson of the Diocese of Ga., performing the ceremony in presence of a large number of friends. After the congratulations of loved ones and admiring friends, all were invited to partake of a sumptuous repast, after which the happy pair took the evening train for Morehead City, N. C. from thence to Memphis, Tenn., the home of the groom. Everything passed off pleasantly.

The presents were numerous, rich and costly.

Your correspondent has known Col. Waring and his interesting family for many years and I feel incompetent to speak of them as they deserve. I wish the happy pair a long and happy life and I feel that I am expressing the true sentiment of this entire community.
