A Double Wedding.

On last Thursday evening at 8 o’clock a double wedding ceremony took place at the residence of Mr. J. S. Davitte, of Davitte’s station, on the East and West railroad.

The contracting parties were Mr. Peter Hammond, Jr., of this city, who took unto himself “for better for worse” Miss Zula Davitte, one of Polk county’s fairest daughters; and Mr. M. M. Doyle, of Rockmart, who expressed himself as able and willing to have a “better half” in Miss Rena Munford, of Cave Spring, a niece of our townsman, L. S. Munford.

Rev. Mr. Ballinger, of Rockmart, officiated in joining the double couple in the bonds of holy matrimony.
