Marriage. Tuesday night at 7:30 Miss Susie Smith, of this city, and Mr. M. S. Flynt, of Atlanta, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at the home of the bride’s father, Mr. John L. Smith. It was a quiet home wedding, only a few friends of the bride and groom being present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. R. H. Lumpkin, of the East Lake Baptist church in Atlanta. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. John L. Smith, of this city, and is quite a bright and attractive young woman. The groom is a young man of fine business qualifications and holds the position of general manager in the printing establishment of the Lester Book and Stationary Company in Atlanta, having been connected with that firm for several years. The young couple received many nice and handsome presents and left today for Atlanta where they will go to housekeeping. Among the out of town guests who attended the wedding were: Mrs. Henry Johnson, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Dawson, Miss Johnson, Miss Mabel Flynt and Mr. George Evans, of Atlanta; and Miss Mamie Martin, of Barnsley’s. |
