Bufford.

By his frequent visits to our community, Mr. Lon Gilbert, of Grady, has quite often been the subject of a news item in the Bufford correspondence of the Courant American, and it was the opinion of a good many that Cupid was getting in some of his best work—and it was a fact. Last Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, 8th inst., he and Miss Sallie, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. White, were united in marriage. Rev. J. S. Hillhouse officiated in his usual graceful manner. The marriage was at the house of the bride’s father. The immediate families and a few relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony. After receiving the hearty congratulations of those present, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert left for Grady where they will reside. The bride was reared in this community, and is admired by all who know her for her beauty and amiableness of disposition. The groom has made Bartow county his home for ten years or more, but has been in the mining business in Polk county for the past two years. He is popular both in social and business circles. May a life of prosperity, happiness and usefulness be theirs.
