Hawkins – Harris. Today, at high noon, at Piedmont Springs, Ala., Mr. Walter Broyles Hawkins, of Grassdale, this county, and Miss Ella Louise Harris, of Piedmont, will be united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Mr. Hawkins, accompanied by Mr. Lewis N. Gilreath and a number of relatives, left Cartersville yesterday for Rome, where they will be joined by Misses Emma and Lula Hawkins and others. From Rome the party will go to Piedmont Springs, where the marriage will take place as above stated. Both parties are well known in Cartersville and Bartow county. Miss Harris has relatives here and elsewhere in the county and has been a frequent visitor in our midst. She is the daughter of Rev. Geo. D. Harris, the well known Baptist minister, who formerly lived in this section. Mr. Hawkins is one of the most popular and well known young men in Bartow county. He holds a responsible position with the Iron Belt Railroad Mining Company. . |
