“Adairsville Items.”

“Two souls with but a single thought,

Two hearts that beat as one.”

Wednesday, the 9th, inst., at 7 o’clock P. M., Mr. Thos. J. Hilburn led to the altar Miss Maggie, daughter of Mrs. J. L. Wood, of this place. The attendants were as follows: Mr. Wiley Rice and Miss Laura Wood; Mr. J. R. Lovelace, and Miss Emma Johnson; Mr. Davidson and Miss Mamie Leak; Mr. G. A. Veach and Miss Hattie Davidson. Mr. Tatum, in a solemn and impressive manner, united the pair in the holy bonds of matrimony. The bride is one who “to know her is to love her,” and, adorned in a tasteful and becoming toilet, never looked lovelier than on this occasion. The repast was one which for excellence would have tempted the most fastidious and for bountifulness the epicure, and many were the well merited praise of the hostess. Mrs. Wood, assisted by her vivacious daughter, Miss Laura, entertained the guests in a charming manner. To the wedded pair we tender our congratulations and express the hope that they may safely steer their life-boat adown the gladsome stream and finally anchor on the golden lands beyond.---J.
