Ellis-Jenkins. The marriage of Miss Rena Ellis to Mr. Joseph Benjamin Jenkins occurred in this city Tuesday evening 7th at 7 o’clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G. W. Duval, of the Methodist church. It was a pretty and quiet home wedding at the home of the bride on the East Side, being witnessed by the family and a few friends of the contracting parties. The bride is a charming and most estimable young lady. She has resided her a year or more and has won many friends who are glad to know that she will make this her permanent home. The groom moved to this city some time ago from Whites, having purchased the substantial brick residence on Douglas street, formerly owned and occupied by Mr. L. B. Matthews, where he and his bride will make their home. Mr. Jenkins holds a responsible position with the Southern Steel Company. |
