Mrs. Susan K. Wallace announces the engagement of her daughter, Josie, to Mr. Edward P. McLain.  The wedding is to be a quiet home affair and will take place at the bride’s home at 5:30 o’clock on Wednesday, September 1st.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Wallace, is quite a beautiful young lady and is quite popular.

Mr. McLain is a young man of sterling worth and holds a responsible position with the Bank of Cartersville. [A short notice of the wedding and description of a “linen shower” held for the bride can be found on page 4 of the September 2, 1909 issue in the “Social Affairs” section.]
