Mercer-Stiles.

At Malbone, at the home of Mrs. M. W. Stiles, the bride’s mother on Tuesday evening at 7:30 o’clock Miss Catherine Mackay Stiles was married to Mr. Robert L. Mercer of Savannah. The marriage was quiet. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George E. Benedict, in the presence of relatives of the bride and Mrs. Lang, of Savannah, a sister of the groom.

The bride was the recipient of two hundred very handsome and costly presents from her friends from everywhere.

The bride is of one of the best families in northern Georgia and is a most excellent lady, possessing the best charms and graces of superior womanhood. The groom is a prominent and popular business man of Savannah. He is a bookkeeper for the firm of J. M. Lang & Co.

The couple took the ten o’clock train at Cartersville, going northward and will be absent ten days on an extensive bridal trip. They will make Savannah their home.
