Kingston A few days since we had rather a romantic marriage in Kingston. Frank Moore, the colored brakeman on the Rome railroad, wooed and won Sallie Neel, a damsel of ginger cake hue. Her mamma objected. She played off sick, and her ma sent her to town on an errand, and when the Rome train arrived Frank saw his loved one, he had procured the license, and they went at once to Squire McKelvey’s store, and he soon made the happy pair one. Squire McKelvey had only been recently elected, and it was his first effort in tying the matrimonial knot. |
