“Cass Station.”

On Sunday morning May 1st, at nine o’clock, at the home of the brides, at this place, occurred a double-wedding. The contracting parties were Miss Maria Allen and Mr. Thomas Pasco and Miss Rebecca Allen and Mr. Albert Cox. The home was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The parlor was decorated with evergreens and white flowers, roses being in the ascendancy. A monogram of each couple in large gilt letters hung overhead. The bridal party entered the room to the strains of the wedding march rendered by Miss Susie Freeman, each couple taking their stand under their appropriate monogram. In a solemn and impressive manner Rev. A. H. Rice, of the Baptist church, performed the marriage ceremony. The brides were attired in white silk. Each carried white roses. The attendants were Miss Maud Sellers and Mr. Tom Williams and Miss Monnie Atkinson and Mr. Duckett, of Tennessee. The bridal robes were exchanged for traveling suits and at ten o’clock the happy couples left for the future home of Mr. and Mrs. Pasco, at Rockwood, Tenn., where Mr. Pasco has business interests. Mr. and Mrs. Cox returned in a few days to their home at Cass. Quite a large number were present at the marriage, all of whom, with many others, wish the newly married young people happiness and prosperity.
