Hymeneal.

Married, at the residence of the bride’s father, by Rev. G. C. Tumlin, on Oct. 1st, 1879, Mr. George H. TUMLIN of Bartow, to Miss GEORGIA ROBERTS, of Cobb county.

Mr. Tumlin is one of our most enterprising, well-to-do farmers.  Reared here among us, long and favorably known to our community, our friend enters upon this new phase of his life with the best wishes of a number of loving hearts.  Upon his success in winning the heart and hand of the fair young bride, we extend—what he merits—most hearty congratulations.  The daughter of a worthy man, Mrs. Tumlin will adorn, with her beauty and accomplishments, our interesting society.

On Wednesday evening last, Mrs. M. L. Tumlin tendered the friends of the groom an elegant reception, the beauty and gallantry of Cartersville shone to advantage, while the hospitality of the whole-souled hostess, accompanied with the substantial charms of a delicious supper, made the occasion a fitting prelude to a life useful and happy.
