Mr. Glenn Venable, a son of Mr. Sanford Venable, of Cassville, and who was reared in this county, was married to Miss Stella Cox, of Genesco, N. Y., a few days ago. Mr. Venable is a practicing physician of Avon, N. Y. The Livington (N. Y.) Republican says this of the happy pair: “A general response was made to the large number of invitations sent out to attend the marriage of Miss Stella Cox to Mr. Glen Venable of Avon, at the home of the bride in this village on Thursday last, which interesting ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. W. Paddock of Batavia, an old friend of the family, assisted by the Rev. C. E. Millsbaugh, minister of the Methodist church in this village. The young couple have both turned their attention to the study of medicine. Dr. Venable is a practicing physician, and his young and interesting wife after graduating from the Normal has for some years attended the medical college at Ann Arbor, Mich., and will soon receive her diploma. We understand they will make their residence at Avon. Congratulations were showered on the happy pair, and they were the recipients of many and valuable presents. A wedding feast fitly concluded the pleasant time.” |
