The many friends of Prof. J. L. Walker, of Walesca, and Miss Rebecca Mahan, of Pine Log, are congratulating them upon their happy marriage in Cartersville on Wednesday of last week. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Bettie Mahan, while the groom is one of north Georgia’s best educators. Prof. and Mrs. Walker went to Jasper last Friday evening, where they took charge of the Kirby Institute last Monday. Both are experienced teachers, and their many friends in Cherokee wish them great success in the field of pedagogy as well as a long life of prosperity and happiness as they journey together through life.—Canton Advance.
