Williams–Arnold.

The Union of Two Popular Young Personages at Ford Last Week.

The marriage of Miss Minnie Lee Arnold to Mr. Alfred Benton Williams, of Durham, N. C., at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. M. R. Arnold, at Ford last Wednesday, January 5th, was a most interesting event.

The home was beautifully decorated with holly and mistletoe, and was well filled with friends of the popular young couple.

Promptly at 8:30 o’clock the familiar strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march, beautifully rendered by Miss Jeff Brandon, announced the approach of the bridal party, which entered as follows: Mr. G. B. Jenkins, of Anniston, Ala,, with Miss Lena Griffin, of Cartersville; Mr. Edgar Griffin, of Kingston with Miss Mollie A. Whitaker, of Ligon. Then Rev. J. A. Jenkins, of Temple, Ga., pronounced the solemn and impressive ceremony, which united for good or evil the lives of Miss Arnold and Mr. Williams.

The bride was becomingly attired in a handsome traveling suit of brown with hat to match. She carried an exquisite bouquet of white hyacinths.

The bride, as Miss Minnie Lee Arnold, is one of North Georgia’s most talented writers and a lady possessing a host of friends, won through her amiability and superior womanly qualities.

Mr. Williams is one of Durham’s most energetic and prosperous young men.

Immediately after the ceremony the bridal party drove to Kingston, where Mr. and Mrs. Williams boarded the south bound train for their future home, at Durham, N. C., carrying with them the best wishes of a host of friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams received an array of handsome presents, attesting the great esteem in which they are held by a large number of friends.

Mrs. M. R. Arnold, mother of the bride, gave an elegant reception on Tuesday evening, which was pronounced by all present as a most enjoyable affair.
