City Affairs. Mr. C. G. Baker, father of Mr. W. F. Baker, of this place, is quite sick at his home in Acworth. ********** Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan, of this county, is one of the fortunate widows of Confederate soldiers, whose pension for this year is provided for in the appropriation passed last week. She was one of thirty-nine whose applications were filed too late to get a share of the first appropriation, and who have been specially provided for by the recent act. |
