A Slap—It causes a terrible fight over a campaign document.—Sparta Winesses a killing—One man killed, two probably fatally wounded and two others severely injured.—Political row.

Sparta, Ga., Dec. 12. –(Special)—The Hon. Julian West lies severely, if not fatally, wounded at his home, Dr. W. R. Gilmore is dead, Mr. A. H. Amos shot through the abdomen and will probably die, and Marshall Brown and Jesse Gilmore are severely wounded. That is the result summed up of a terrible street battle here today. During the campaign just ended Dr. Gilmore and Col. West were very prominent, the former as a third party leader and the later as a democrat. [Article continues]
