“City Affairs.” Miss Minnie Kendrick, of Ringgold, is spending a while in the city, the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Gerald Griffin. ***** Mr. R. E. Fields, a prominent and highly respected citizen of the Grassdale neighborhood, died Wednesday and was buried with Masonic ceremonies. He was about sixty-five years old. ***** Mrs. C. T. Jones was called to Blountville, Tenn., about two weeks ago, by the extreme illness of her mother, Mrs. R. P. Fickle, and Mr. Jones received a letter last week stating that she died on Wednesday the 9 th inst. |
