Miss Minnie Kendrick, of Ringgold, is spending a while in the city, the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Gerald Griffin.

Mr. R. E. Fields, a prominent and highly respected citizen of the Grassdale neighborhood, died Wednesday and was buried with Masonic ceremonies. He was about sixty-five years old.

Mrs. C. T. Jones was called to Blountville, Tenn., about two weeks ago, by the extreme illness of her mother, Mrs. R. P. Fickle, and Mr. Jones received a letter last week stating that she died on Wednesday the 9 th inst.
