“Affairs of the City.”

Miss Alice Stephens, of Atlanta, and her aunt, Mrs. Gerald Griffin, are visiting in the city.

Mr. George W. Peacock, an ex-citizen of Cartersville, who is now located at Rockmart in the sash, door and blind industry, spent Monday last in the city. [George W. Peacock married Parthenia Gertrude Wofford in Bartow County. Parthenia Wofford Peacock’s death certificate shows her father as Wade Hampton Wofford and her mother as Nancy Rogers. The Peacock’s son, Oscar Peacock, appears in the 1920 Census with the family of Parthenia’s niece, Kate Baker Baty, in Birmingham, Alabama.—L. B.]
