“Brief Local Items.”

James Pyron, one of the oldest, best known and most faithful engineers on the Western and Atlantic railroad, died of typhoid fever at his home, about one mile from Kennesaw, on Monday morning last.

The Courant American has received an invitation to attend the marriage of Mr. George Emmett Maddox and Miss Jessie Whilden Bishop, which will occur at High Springs, Fla., Wednesday evening, September 9 th, 1896. Mr. Maddox was formerly an agreeable attaché of this office, and the Courant American extends congratulations is advance.
