A Vigorous Old Man

Mr. Riley Tatum, of Pickens county, is 80 years old, but has lost but little of his vigor, as a recent test of his endurance as a pedestrian well exemplifies. He has a son living near this place and concluded to pay him a visit. He started out afoot for the journey early in the morning and night found him at his son’s home, the distance 35 miles, being compassed with no extraordinary fatigue. This is a remarkable exhibition of vigor for a man of 80.
