“Brief Local Items.”

Mr. Bob Jones was made happy yesterday by the arrival of a fine baby boy at his home, and Mr. W. F. Baker was receiving the congratulations of his friends on being a grandfather.

“Doings in Bartow--Kingston.”

Mr. W. H. Griffin is very happy, says that little boy at his house is a bright one, and Henry Scott says his little girl is a beauty. Glad to see you both so happy.

A long poem entitled “To My Husband On His Second Birthday in Heaven, April 26, 1898” and signed F. C. H. Here is one verse:

This sad, selfish heart keeps repining,

For the love which did bless me of yore.

For the sweet, tender, smile of my darling,

Who on earth shall great me no more.
