Mr. W. A. Jackson has a new boy baby at his home on the Cassville road, and is very proud of the latest addition to the family. ******************** Mrs. S. H. Galloway, of Marietta, came up Tuesday, being summoned by a telephone message, stating that her mother, Mrs. Major Milner, at Grassdale, was in critical condition. ******************** Dr. W. A. Bell, of Farmersville, Tex., has been on a visit to Georgia, his old home, and his kins people, among whom is Mr. A. J. Buford, of the county, and Mrs. J. G. Greene, of this city. Dr, Bell has prospered in Texas, where he went many years ago, and likes his location, but enjoys his occasional visits to his native state. ******************** Mr. T. C. Griffin, of Oostanaula, Ga., and his sister Mrs. Martha Williams, of Monroe, N. C., father and aunt of Dr. W. C. Griffin, spent several days with him in this city last week. Mr. Griffin is eighty eight years old, and Mrs. William is seventy five. They had not seen each other in thirty-six years, and it was a pleasant meeting which was held in this city. |
