The interesting presence of Christopher Thornwell Conyers, who made his arrival at the home of Col. and Mrs. J. B. Conyers at 2:45 on Tuesday, we take pleasure in announcing. We trust the Col. will not have to shake the paregoric tree any too often o’nights. ********************************** July 13, 1899, Page 5 “Local News in Brief.” The countenance of Postmaster Walter Akerman is overspread by that roseate beam of satisfaction incident to the fact of being again a papa.
