DISTRESSING ACCIDENT.

About ten o’clock yesterday morning, while Billy Quarles, Moses Hazlewood and Jack Jarvis, who are employed at Alabaster lime works, about two miles from this city, were engaged in fixing a blast, the fuse became prematurely ignited, causing an explosion which resulted in the serious wounding of Quarles and Hazlewood, and the probable mortal wounding of Jarvis.  Our informant states that he could not possibly recover.
