Kingston.

Mrs. M. T. Gillam entertained Wednesday afternoon in honor of the widows of Kingston.  Our town certainly has its share of these, for sixteen ladies were in attendance and seven unable to accept the hostess’ kind invitation.  The affair was unique, too, in other ways, quaint games were played at small tables and delightful refreshments served.  Mrs. Gillam was assisted by her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Davidson, of Quitman, and Mrs. W. H. Griffin and Miss Ina Van Metre.  The guests were Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Darden, Mrs. Havneir, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Trout, Mrs. Butts, Mrs. McGuire, Mrs. Franks, Mrs. Brownlow, Mrs. Bayless, Mrs. Cloud, Mrs. Headden, Mrs. Hargis, Mrs. Lowry, Mrs. Rogers.  It is hope that someone else will follow suite and these ladies may have a series of entertainments that will prove a source of pleasure during the year.
