11/4/2004	Adams - Snowden Family Cemetery	34.206183,-85.0382	The cemetery is on Hwy. 411 going toward Rome and is a short distance from the Bartow/Floyd Co. line in Bartow Co. Harris Rd. is on the right (although the road sign is hard to see). The cemetery is visible to the right after turning on to the road. Harris Rd. is very short and ends quickly with a red iron gate across the road.

1/24/2007	Alexander Family Cemetery	34.191000, -84.650000	Drive west from Canton, GA on Ga-20 to the intersection with Ga-108; continue west on Ga-20 approximately 2.6 miles (you will enter Bartow County about 0.4 miles). Turn left on Woodall Road, proceed south about 1.6 miles to intersection with Upper Sweetwater Trail. Turn lefton Upper Sweetwater Trail (gravel road) and proceed east about 0.4 miles. The Alexander Cemetery is located on the left. Access by car via Upper Sweetwater Trail from Ga-20/Ga-108 intersection is not recommended due to unimproved section of Upper Sweetwater Trail between Rhine Road and Sisley Trail.

10/9/2006	Allatoona-Universalist Church Cemetery	34.110933,-84.713367	Sandtown Rd; Acworth; Take North Hwy 293/Old Hwy 41 from Acworth (Cobb County) past the Bartow County line. Cross the Allatoona Lake bridge and take right onto Sandtown Rd, which is 1st right past the bridge. At the road fork (Allatoona Crossroads Community) bear right and continue to the Allatoona Pass Community. Cross the railroad tracks and go approx. 100 yds. to a gravel driveway and turn left. The abandoned church is on the hilltop, with the cemetery behind it.

1/2006	Arnold Cemetery	34.184517,-84.968033	From 75 North Take Exit 290 (Rome Exit) and turn left at end of ramp. Go to dead end and take left, then an immediate right onto Hwy 41. Go approximately 5 miles and take right onto Hwy. 411. Stay on 411 until you cross the Etowah River. Just after crossing the river, take next left onto Macedonia Road. Follow Macedonia until it dead ends and turn left. Just down the road you will see a narrow road to the left, take this road and follow until you go around big curve. You will see sign that says Peacock farm, turn right. This looks like a driveway (dirt/gravel/grassy). Follow until dead ends into Arnold Cemetery

12/24/2007	Bagwell - Lewis Family Cemetery	34.39558 84.71213	Approximately 1 mile south of Gordon/Bartow line on US 411. The cemetery is down a logging road which is now gated and locked, and is located close to a CSX railroad track. The cemetery is fenced but is badly overgrown.
	Baker - Chitwood Family Cemetery - Directions to this cemetery are same as McKinney Family Cemetery. There is only one cemetery in McKinney campgrounds according to campground management.

2/13/2007	Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery	34.146383,-84.714717	The Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery is located on Red Top Mountain and is surrounded by Allatoona Lake and Red Top Mountain State Park. According to Georgia Planters in Georgia 1832 - 1838 by Professor Don L. Shadburn,"the Cherokees established Allatoona Town in this area and many of them resided there prior to 1838". Much of the area is now covered by the water of Allatoona Lake.

Cemetery is on right.

GMD 1041, 1 mi south of White; I-75 N on 411 1.3 mi to 1st rd on right (dirt) East which leads to "upper lake". Turn right and go 6/10 mi to fork in rd. @ old wooden bldg on right sign over door "Manganese Corp. of America Life. Take right fork and continue little over 1/10 mile to cemetery which will be on right (W) side of rd. 100 ft. off road is a raised area in pasture with cedar trees. Evidence of 5 graves, no inscribed markers.

Turn right at traffic light at the intersection of SR61/113 and Euharlee Rd. Chulio Commons will be on the right. Turn Right onto Euharlee Rd. and travel several miles. Turn Left onto Milam Bridge Rd. and go .2 mile. Turn Left onto Colleen Karen Rd. which deadends into Linda Rd. Turn Left on Linda Rd. The cemetery, which is surrounded by a fence, is on a heavily wooded hill on the right. A sign with the name of the cemetery is on the fence. The driveway to the cemetery is gravel and fairly steep with not a lot of turn around room.

12/16/2005	Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery	34.382683,-84.846733	From Adairsville, take Hwy 140 East approx. 10 miles until you see chicken houses to the left and a green Folsom sign on the right. Just before the Folsom sign on the right side of the road is a gravel drive which parallels a concrete drive. Turn right onto the gravel drive which becomes a very steep hill and is blocked by a chain. It's quite a hike to the top where the cemetery is located a short distance on the right in the woods. It's very overgrown and is not in use.

Go 1.8 miles and take EXIT 290 towards Canton. Bear Right onto GA-20 East. Travel 4.1 miles and turn Right onto Wilderness Camp Rd. SE to Upper Stamp Creek Rd. Keep to right and go approx. 2 miles. Cemetery is visible and off to the left about 40 ft. There is a small dirt road to the cemetery.

Turn right onto Reynolds Bridge Rd. and go about 8/10 of a mile. The church sits on a hill on the right and is very visible from the road. The cemetery, which is close to the road, is on the right side of the very steep driveway going to the church. From Rome take US Hwy 411E towards Cartersville, past Taylorsville Macedonia Road. Turn Left onto Reynolds Bridge Rd. and go about 8/10 of a mile. The church sits on a hill on the right and is very visible from the road. The cemetery, which is close to the road, is on the right side of the very steep driveway going to the church.
	Conaway’s, Turner burial grounds I've been advised no tombstones remain in this cemetery which is located in the woods off of Hwy 20 in Adairsville. If you know of burials here, please let me know. [Thanks to Elaine Hight for the info on this cemetery.]

Turn right onto Hall Station Road, then left onto Connesena Road. Connesena church will be on left and cemetery on right.
	Cooper Family Cemetery - Cooper Family Cemetery was moved in August 1949 when Lake Allatoona was being built. The Cooper home was on a hill up from the north bank of the Etowah and called Glen Holly. It appears, of course, as an island today. The Cooper graves are now in Oak Hill. Cemetery is on the hill behind and to the right and left of church.

Turn left at Douthit Ferry Rd and travel approx 2.5 miles to the intersection of Old Alabama Rd. where there is a traffic light. Keep straight through light to entrance of Carter Grove Plantation. The cemetery is on the left on a steep hill surrounded by a brick wall. Access to cemetery at this time is by walking up a rough, unpaved drive.

Emerson is located on Hwy. 293 between Acworth (Cobb County) Georgia and Cartersville (Bartow County) Georgia. Turn between Doug's Place Restaurant and the City Hall, then immediately back to your left on 7th Street, behind City Hall. The school will be on the right and the cemetery on both sides of 7th St.

Just west of town, pass Burnt Hickory Road, then turn right onto Euharlee Rd. In Euharlee, turn left onto Covered Bridge Road. Euharlee Presbyterian Church is on the corner and the Euharlee Baptist Church is next. The 2 church cemeteries almost meet.

3/17/2007	Furnace - Goodson Cemetery fka Tidwell Cemetery	34.182217,-84.701117	From I-75, take Highway 20 East. Travel about four miles. You will see a General Store on the right at the corner of Wilderness Camp Road. Turn right on this road. Travel about 4 ½ miles. You will pass a fire station on the left. The next left will be Goodson-Rodgers Road. This is a gravel road with a locked gate across it. There is room to park your car and then walk around the gate. Go about 2/10 of a mile, bearing to the right at the fork. The cemetery is scattered in several parts at the end of the road. There are many tombstones that cannot be read in this cemetery. Cemetery is very over-grown.
4/1/2006	Gaines Cemetery	34.447833,-84.8272	Sonoraville, Gordon County, Ga.; Located South side of Hwy 53 East at Sonoraville, Gordon County, Georgia, across from the old Sonoraville School. From I-75, take the Calhoun Hwy 53 exit. Go East on Hwy 53 a little less than seven miles. There will be a new school complex on the left (North). East of the new school is the old Sonoraville School. The cemetery is across the street from the old school. West of the cemetery is the Sonoraville Lodge No. 221 F&AM and a Gordon County Fire Department.

Go about one mi to the tiny village of Folsom and continue left on Folsom Glade Road. Go 0.9 miles (just past Gold Kist Poultry sign and an old grist mill) and turn left onto grassy road which leads up to the cemetery.

3/17/2007	Goddard Cemetery		From Highway 20, take Woodall Road approximately 4 miles towards the old Macedonia Campground. The cemetery is in a wooded area to the right of a two story brick house. There is a small area to pull off as you come around the curve. That will allow you to walk up to the cemetery without entering the yard of the homeowner.

Travel on Bartow Beach Road 1.3 miles until you come to a gravel road to your left with a chain across it. (At this time, there is a signpost with a blue symbol on it at the road.) There is room to park without blocking the road.

Cemetery	34.357567,-84.9005	Adairsville; From Highway 41 turn onto Mannings Mill Rd, maybe a half mile you will see a new development on the left, just past this subdivision, the first older farmhouse on the left is 104 Mannings Mill Rd. It is obviously a working cattle farm with fenced pastures and a barn and corrals. The house has a drive on each side that circles to the back of the home. The owner is Roy Phillips and he will gladly show you how to get to the cemetery which is on the right side and to the rear of his home. It is on a hill about 40 to 50 feet high, that runs at a 90 degree angle from the street about 100 to 150 yards. The cemetery is on the top about 100 yards from the road. You can see some of the roofs in the new subdivision from the cemetery. The hill is almost flat on top and is about 35 yards across. It drops off on both sides, one to the pasture and the other to the subdivision.

It's very overgrown and is not in use.

The church sits on a hill on the right and is very visible from the road. The cemetery, which is close to the road, is on the right side of the very steep driveway going to the church.

Cooper Family Cemetery - Cooper Family Cemetery was moved in August 1949 when Lake Allatoona was being built. The Cooper home was on a hill up from the north bank of the Etowah and called Glen Holly. You will pass a fire station on the left. The next left will be Goodson-Rodgers Road. This is a gravel road with a locked gate across it. There is room to park your car and then walk around the gate. Go about 2/10 of a mile, bearing to the right at the fork. The cemetery is scattered in several parts at the end of the road. There are many tombstones that cannot be read in this cemetery.
Cemetery is very over-grown.

From Highway 20, take Woodall Road approximately 4 miles towards the old Macedonia Campground. The cemetery is in a wooded area to the right of a two story brick house. There is a small area to pull off as you come around the curve. That will allow you to walk up to the cemetery without entering the yard of the homeowner.

Travel on Bartow Beach Road 1.3 miles until you come to a gravel road to your left with a chain across it. (At this time, there is a signpost with a blue symbol on it at the road.) There is room to park without blocking the road.

Adairsville; From Highway 41 turn onto Mannings Mill Rd, maybe a half mile you will see a new development on the left, just past this subdivision, the first older farmhouse on the left is 104 Mannings Mill Rd. It is obviously a working cattle farm with fenced pastures and a barn and corrals. The house has a drive on each side that circles to the back of the home. The owner is Roy Phillips and he will gladly show you how to get to the cemetery which is on the right side and to the rear of his home. It is on a hill about 40 to 50 feet high, that runs at a 90 degree angle from the street about 100 to 150 yards. The cemetery is on the top about 100 yards from the road. You can see some of the roofs in the new subdivision from the cemetery. The hill is almost flat on top and is about 35 yards across. It drops off on both sides, one to the pasture and the other to the subdivision.
